The Top 3 precautions that one should take during Covid 19

Covid, Covid, Covid. It's probably all your parents are droning on and on about how you should wear masks, blah blah blah. Yes, it's annoying, but your parents are just trying to keep you safe from what could really happen, which is not fun to experience. My name is Seher Hasan, and I am living in the united states, which is one of the top worst country that has been infected with Covid 19. There are many precautions that I take to avoid it. Below I have shared 3 pretty common, but not often used precautions that I think everyone should take.

#1 - Get tested - it's suggested
It's scary just thinking about having the thing that haunts us all. Believe me, I know. Not that I ever got the virus or anything. The thing is, these days kids who catch sicknesses like viral fever or the flu, no matter what symptoms there are, you will be tested for Covid 19. A few weeks ago, I caught a case of viral fever. I was super scared when I found out that I was going to be tested. I was really nervous. All these thoughts were going on in my head, like what if it gets positive? or what if it'll kill me? Still, I got tested no matter how much I protested. But thank god, my result came out negative. See, if your a sick kid, lying in bed, laptop open, reading this incredibly boring article, then that's a good thing.  I really encourage getting tested for Covid 19 if your sick, symptoms or not. Well, by reading my story, just know that you are not alone.

#2 - Social Distancing
It's a bright sunny day, and you have nothing to do due to quarantine. You shout "Hey mom (or hey dad) can I go outside and ring on my friend's doorbell?" And your mom will be like "sure honey! Just make sure to wear a mask." You groan. You grab your mask just to make it look like you'll actually wear it. But when you get outside, and ring on the bell, then you will act as if the virus was never here. You'd hug each other, touch each other, and share food, all without a mask. But, do you know that just a bit of fun without taking precautions could be your fatal mistake? That's right folks, you can get the virus because of having a little bit of fun. I am not discouraging fun though. I go outside and play with my friends all the time, but we take our precautions. We stay six feet away from each other and wear masks when playing. You should do that with your friends. Do it everywhere. Wherever you go - whether you're playing with friends, or going to a restaurant, or taking a hike, always stay six feet away from others and wear a mask. The playing with friends thing is just an example.

#3 - Wash your hands!!
Okay, okay. I know. Everybody, even before the virus knows to do that after every outing. But do they? Hey, I'm not calling anyone dumb, so don't judge me. This a mere reminder to wash your hands! Because probably the number one reason of how people get Covid 19 is because of not washing their hands. When people go out, there are probably lots of people around them who have the virus. The virus can be caught by someone who is healthy by a mere cough by someone who is not healthy. They can cough on your hand, and if you put it in your mouth, eyes, ears, or nose, then you can get the virus! I know I'm getting a bit off topic here, but don't touch your face either! When you get home from whatever errand or thing you had to do, wash your hands immediately. Do the same when your going to someone's house, and when your out, sanitize your hands (99% alcohol) frequently, so I would recommend to buy it and carry it around.

Anyways, please follow these precautions so you can stay safe. There are lots of other precautions, but I just think that everyone should take these. Just know that wherever you are in the world, whether in India, New Zealand, Nepal, Siberia, Russia, or Paris, just know that you are not alone, and not the only one going through this pandemic.
